The Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health and IPWR are partnering to establish the first Center of Excellence in Public Health and Water Research, bringing together the relevant pieces of a systems approach to address the complexity of sustainable water quality, water acquisitioning, gender and public health in developing countries. The Center will provide a foundation to support scholarship including graduate assistantships and internships, facilitate funding for research projects, and expand research infrastructure. With its broad range of resources (including programs in engineering, agriculture, veterinary medicine, business and health sciences), leading accomplishments in water purification and conservation, large and diverse student body, and experienced faculty, Texas A&M offers IPWR the ideal platform on which to build this fully-integrated research program to support IPWR's long-range goals.
