Peter Bewley, Esq., is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Nominating and Governance Committee for San Diego-based WD-40 Company, a $300 million publicly traded consumer packaged goods company.   From 1998 to 2005, Mr. Bewley, Esq., was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for The Clorox Company, a $4 billion Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods company.  His role with Clorox included management of the legal, internal audit, government affairs and community relations functions; participation in the Management Executive Committee (the 6-member senior executive team responsible for strategic and policy direction of the company); counseling the Board, the Chairman and the senior management team on significant legal, governance (including Sarbanes-Oxley implementation) and policy questions; and assuring corporate compliance.

Before Clorox, Mr. Bewley served on the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee for Access Worldwide Communication, Inc.; was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for NovaCare, Inc., a billion-dollar rehabilitation services company; General Attorney, Assistant General Counsel and Associate General Counsel for Johnson& Johnson, where he advised Johnson & Johnson’s public policy team on legislative strategy with respect to regulatory matters in the United States, Canada and Europe.  Additionally, Mr. Bewley, Esq., served as Attorney (Captain) at the Office of the General Counsel for the U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C. In addition to his role with the IPWR Board of Directors, Mr. Bewley is an active member and vice-chair of the Board of Directors, chairman for the Finance committee and treasurer of Children Now; and a member of the Board of Visitors of the Stanford Law School and member of the Executive Committee.  Mr. Bewley, Esq., received his law degree from Stanford University and his Bachelor of Arts in politics from Princeton University.
